Our plane was delayed and the staff were very accommodating about a late check for us. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean. The furnishings were very clean and tidy, not tatty and old. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a lovely little outdoor sitting area which was private and sunny.

Location location location. Within 2 blocks of the beach, restaurants, shops etc. Lovely hosts very helpful and friendly. The room was comfy and clean. Free parking was a bonus. We would stay again.

Lovely room, very clean, good facilities. The laundry room was an added bonus, just $2 per load use the honest box in the laundry. It was warm and sunny outside so I was able to dry my washing outside on the line provided at the back of the building. A dryer was available for a further $2. I made use of the swimming pool, it was a little cold, but it was a sunny day and afterwards a dip in the hot tub was wonderful. Situated close to nearby shops and the city was about a 15 minute drive as long as you don’t get stuck in traffic, which built up at obvious times around 2:3pm when children are beginning to come home from school and again at 4:30ish pm when people were driving home from work. Lovely staff on hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible. When we arrived the key fob that is inserted to get the electricity supply was broken and the lady in charge, sorry I didn’t get her name, went out of her way and beyond her working day to sort a temporary fix out. She apologised profusely for the temporary fix, to us it was not an issue at all. She then booked the election to come out the following day to fit a new device. This lovely lady then came to check that everything had been done properly. What a star, thank you so much.

I was running behind schedule and was going to be late for my tour at of Hobbiton when I checked in, and she was quick to see that I was a little stressed. She was able to call Hobbiton (as I didn't have a working phone to call) to help reschedule my tour to a later time, and then proceeded to give me a quick run-down of the hostel before I got back on the road for my tour. I am very grateful for her assistance.

The motel had a lovely feel to it, was extremely clean and comfortable, the four of us enjoyed our stay immensely especially the secure garden , seating area, out our back door. The the location was close to great shopping and eating with the beach a very short walk away, approximately 20m, highly recommend Kathy, the staff AND the motel, will definitely book again!
