Located in Yakushima, 35 km from Yakusugi Land and 13 km from Jomon Sugi, Miyanouraso offers air conditioning. Providing free private parking, the 3-star ryokan is 10 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo.

The ryokan comes with a flat-screen TV.

Very nice ryokan and perfect location : near the ferry port, and at 5min of a bus stop to take you everywhere on the island. The host explained to me everything and helped me organise my stay in Yakushima. He was so nice ! (And the bath was perfect after a day hiking!)

Guests can choose between a standard Western room and a Japanese-style room with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon beds. Each air-conditioned room at Jomon no Yado Ryokan has a fridge, an attached toilet and shared bathrooms.

The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

Just 15 minutes from Yakushima Airport on the free shuttle, Tashiro Annex offers air-conditioned Japanese rooms with a private bathroom and river or forest views. A public bath and rental bicycles are available.

Each room at Tashiro Annex Hotel has tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon beds. A fridge and green-tea maker are provided. The attached bathroom includes a bath and amenities.

We had an amazing stay at Tashiro Annex! The traditional Japanese room, baths, and food were exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were very helpful - even though they don't speak English we were able to communicate with sign language and google translate and they were always willing to accommodate us. We are both vegetarians and this wasn't a problem as the chef prepared special vegetarian food for us every day. They also prepared a Bento breakfast box at 4am when we left early to go hiking! You do notice that the facilities are slightly older, but everything is clean and well maintained so that isn't a problem either. I highly recommend a stay here to anybody visiting Yakushima and looking for a traditional Japanese experience!

Very good option as Cottage Kutsuroki are standalone bungalows so no noise issues at all. Extra convenience of car parked right at door, easy to load suitcases etc. Very good well stocked kitchen and finally, after days of thin futon beds, nice to have “normal” mattress beds to sleep on! Good heating. Nice shower and bath adequate. Very good location at Anbo

Very good value for money, in a traditional rural Japanese house. Placed in a very peaceful location in the island, the lady was very nice and the lodging was great. I couldn’t afford the ryokans in my stay in Japan, so this was a good substitute, and was also the best place I stayed in in Japan

Lovely room with mountain view, great location right next to a bus stop. Helpfull stuff, they kept our luggage all morning before checkin, and again a couple of hours after checkout. Futon beds were very comfy, the room was clean and just the right size.

The hostel is quite isolated in the forest but good (albeit few) bus connections to all major hikes and a supermarket as well as onsen still make it work even without a car. The owner sorts you out with all timetables and advice in no time and at night you fall asleep to the sounds of nature.

Very pleasant and hospitable people. The accomodation contains a lot of facilities (like a small onsen) and information and supplies for discovering the island. Had a very pleasant stay in a large Tatami mat room for 2 persons, would definitely recommend to come again!

Kenji and Kengo are amazing hosts. They were kind enough to take me and other guests to an onsen nearby as well as some restaurants. The Guesthouse is very large in size and the rooms are very spacious. The main lobby/entrance has great information for hiking routes and bus timetables.
