Every room at this ryokan is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. Certain units have a seating area where you can relax. You will find a kettle in the room. Extras include slippers, free toiletries and a hair dryer.

From the moment you drive up until the moment you drive off the staff make it their mission to make you feel like the only customer there. They label themselves as a hotel and resort and resort they are! Your every want, need and wish is met before you even know you need it. My partner and I speak limited and quite broken Japanese and a few of the staff had conversational English which was a huge help for us especially dissecting the dinner/breakfast. We book a room with private bath and loved the convenience and experience, unlike anything we’ve had before. I 100% suggest the half board option(traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner included)!the meals are very well thought out and delicious!

Katsura no Izumi features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 8.9 km of Shuzen-ji Temple and 23 km of Mount Daruma. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and a lift, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan has family rooms.

Beautiful Ryokan in a slightly out of the way onsen district. Amenities are traditional but well kept or recently renovated. Makes for an enjoyable getaway removed from bustling touristy areas. You can reserve daily private use onsen slots with your family or fellow travelers. Food selections in the area are limited but good. (Sushi, soba, gyoza and more within walking distance. Close access to the Izu Panorama park which is a great way to spend a half day. I would recommend this place as part of a relaxing getaway more so than a tourist destination, but well worth it. Limited number of guest rooms so the onsen baths are not too busy and are well maintained with beautiful wood and stone designs. The outdoor bathing is wonderful in winter. Breakfast is a set meal in the morning but served in private rooms on the first floor with a nice ambiance, grilled fish of some type is always the main dish with plenty of variety around it.

Overall The hotel was absolutely incredible. A great ryokan experience with extremely friendly and courteous staff who often went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were served by Sora Tatebayashi who was absolutely incredible and extremely helpful and everyone at the hotel was friendly and thoughtful. If you are looking for a great ryokan experience with amazing onsens and facilities, I highly recommend Hotel Tenbo and make sure to get the room with the mountain view! View and location A truly breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from our room. Highly recommended to stay in the room with the mountain view. The location was great and was very close to the Izu panorama park and the hotel also offers drop off and pick up at Igu Nagoaka Station. Staff and service The service at the hotel was excellent and the staff were always keen to help and were so thoughtful and always willing to go above and beyond to deliver the best service possible, which was truly appreciated.

A beautiful Japanese ryokan experience. We loved the private and public onsens - so relaxing. The staff were very helpful and made their best effort to accommodate our requests even with the language barrier (we don't speak any Japanese). Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the surrounding hills and walking trails were lovely to explore.

We visited this onsen hotel last year. This year we came to this hotel again to join a day of onsen. It was very relax and peaceful. The dinner and breakfast were very delicious, a lot of variety and everything was very tasty. The room is small but very cozy. I had the same experience as last year and my family loves this onsen hotel.

A very authentic japanese ryokan experience! The staff and manager were really kind and warm even though they dont speak that much english - but that doesnt matter. The place seems a little old in terms of aesthetics and facilities, but this is just a part of the charm. The food - especially the dinner - was really great! The value for money is really good! Bonus tip: there are a few places to rent e-bikes in the city, which is super nice for exploring the surounding cities with beautiful nature.

We had stayed several times in this Ryokan, that should be sufficient proof for our satisfaction. It was a stop over for one day in our way from Tokyo to Kyoto. Dinner the night of arrival and breakfast for the morning of check out. Enjoyed very much the multiple choices of Japanese food. The family hot bath was perfect as always, especially because we could lower the water temperature for the girls. The room has a balcony, that if not cloudy could view Mount Fuji. Summer is not good season for that.

A wonderful Ryokan with a giant garden - the room was huge with a nice little private garden and a water stream - the private onsen was ready to jump in and is big enough to enjoy - The installation of the Hotel is unique and you have to be ready to walk some distances - The Staff was really nice and no problem to communicate with - Food is delicious and not in the big quantities as most other Ryokans
