The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

Situated a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, La Isla Tasse is charming accommodation housed in a large American-style mansion. Free in-room Wi-Fi is available, and guests can unwind in a spacious lounge with comfortable sofas. Location is perfect for the famous hiking trails (Jomonsugi / Yakusugi Land). Since it is located in Anbo town, there are convenient supermarkets and restaurants close by. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are two large shared bathroom spaces, and separate toilets - but I did not feel like I had to wait at all to use them. The bathrooms have many toiletries, and there is even a jacuzzi/bath you can use, which is perfect after a long day of hiking. There is also a lovely, well decorated common space / dining space that can be used. A delicious, Japanese style home cooked breakfast is offered here. Credit card and cash accepted. The hosts - they were the kindest and friendliest people, and made my stay very memorable !! I will definitely come back just to stay here again. I would recommend a little Japanese, but they are very accommodating to English speakers. Perfect place!

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. The atmosphere is friendly, nee-san is the most amazing host, and will help everyone plan their travels around yakushima. There's a kitchen to prepare food yourself and I highly recommend nee-san's onigiri for a day out! I love this place and will return there once I can. Stayed at 20+ guesthouses, this one is exceptional.
