It was our first time in Alto Paraíso and Eduardo was an incredible host, making us feel welcome even before we arrived and helping us with everything we needed while we were there (connecting us with guides and suggesting great experiences). You are in the middle of the nature and feel like you are in a different world. The private bungalows are amazing and kept so clean with spectacular views! Rodrigo was incredible - he would help us with a plan for everyday and even took us on our first hike. Hes so accommodating and even offered us a free upgrade to a nicer bungalow because it was free. He went above and beyond when my friend needed to join a last minute work conference and provided us with access to another property in sao jorge (the city) for more reliable internet access. Could not recommend this place more! However, the drive in can be tricky so though you don’t need 4 wheel drive if you’re not used to off roading 4 wheel drive would be more beneficial as it’s about 4km on a dirt road to get to the property through jungle with no reception. But totally worth it when you get there! Would 100% go back here and plan to one day! One of my favourite places to stay! Also you have to be ok with insects and nature as it’s a very untouched spot. We loved it and couldn’t rave more about it!

This is an excellent budget option right in the center of Alto Paraiso. It is a minute walk from great restaurants and markets. Despite its location, it's quiet and peaceful. The hostel is simply but clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and supportive. They went above and beyond during my stay. There is a fully stocked kitchen with pans, spices, and and even an oven. There are clothing lines for drying your clothes, and hot water in the shower. The mosquitos also were thankfully not that bad. Highly recommend if you want a cheap but comfortable place to stay.

At the accommodation rooms have bed linen and towels. lovely and peaceful location, breakfast cooked fresh with juices and a great selection of local food. The staff team was excellent and gave us plenty of recommendations. I would def come back.
