We loved the cottage, very cosy with a stunning view of the mountains. Canoeing on the dam was an added bonus. The cottage was squeeky clean and the beds and pillows extra comfy. She gave us good tips and we enjoyed chatting with her. Her home is beautiful, our room was spacious, light, and clean. The bed is huge and very comfy. A/C was super quiet, you hardly noticed it was on. The area is beautiful, just a 5-10min stroll away from the centre of Franschoek. There's plenty of cafés and restaurants around, so we didn't miss not having breakfast at all.

The views are absolutely stunning and the deck is well designed for comfort. You do not get better in terms of location with close enough access to civilisation and the novelty of being able to retreat to nature for some much needed downtown.
