I had one of the Glamping units overlooking the sea. No toilet but the price to pay for the perfect position! Absolutely gorgeous and you could hear the sound of the waves at night. That is, obviously if you weren't foolish enough to put on your air-conditioning! I saw the penguins come out of the sea and waddle up the hill. Make sure you have the red torch and do not do not do not shine the white torch on them as it disorientates them. I stayed until 11 at night watching them as I was so mesmerized. What a fabulous amazing place this is. Book at least two nights .

The owner, Rod, was extremely friendly and very helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The farm and surrounding scenery were just beautiful and we would take long walks in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by one of their dogs. We had a chicken hang out near our back door and the cows at times were close by as well. Rod took us into the field to brush the Highland cattle, which we really enjoyed. The views of the hills, the bay and parts of the Port Arthur historic site were just gorgeous. We would definitely stay at Ruby‘s cottage again.

Guests can interact with a variety of local farm animals including lambs, sheep, ponies and ducks. Super welcome and service. Lovely cottage with everything needed and more. Terrific breakfast with fresh bread, home made jam, fresh eggs. Good location close to Richmond village and good base for day tripping. A delightful haven to return to at the end of a day of adventures. We three Kiwis highly recommend.

Offering a wood fireplace and views of the orchard and gardens, Elvenhome Farm is a unique farm stay experience. It offers an educational experience to guests. It is only a short drive from Deloraine in the Tasmanian region and 48 km from Cradle Mountain. Free private parking is available on site. We loved everything and our kids too. Remote enough to feel away from civilization and close enough to all the necessary things and places to visit (Cradle Mountain Park, wildlife sanctuaries…). The orchards, the farm animals, the wonderful welcome from Graham and Kathleen. We just regret not spending more time on the farm.

The farm stay has 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. The farm stay offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen including a gas stove and a full size refrigerator. It’s clean, extremely comfortable and super quiet. Wi-Fi was banging! the views from Mt Rumney are spectacular. Now having said all of that remember that you are staying on a farm. There are animals and all the stuff needed to take care of them so you may see a pile of fencing material or farm equipment. I’ve stayed in cottages in the middle of vineyards that weren’t half as comfortable, welcoming and worth the value as this property. I arrived early and the host welcomed me with no issues. If you want a great place to stay without all the fru-fru I would highly recommend this property.

Welcoming hosts and everything you need catered for. I am a return visitor because I haven't found better and the value is amazing.
