Just Red Wines Cabins 4 stars

Ballandean

Just Red Wines Cabins is situated in Ballandean and features barbecue facilities. Guests can enjoy vineyard views.

At the vineyard stay, all cabins include a balcony. Each is equipped with a kettle, while some cabins have a kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. All cabins at Just Red Wines Cabins feature air conditioning and a wardrobe. Beautiful spot. Loved the vineyard views and residents kangaroos and goats. Lovely walking track up the back of the property. Plenty to do & see in the area. Cabbin was clean and modern. Appreciated some "extra" little things that hotels don't usually include, like providing cling wrap, foil, salt & pepper, ample garbage bags, washing powder and dishwashing detergent/tablets, firewood, matches etc. Lovely complimentary bottle of wine from the vineyard. My 5 and 7 year old kids had a great time and have asked to go back again. Was a great stay overall. We'll be back :)

Seven Peaks Farm Stay

Beerwah

Situated within 9.3 km of Australia Zoo and 26 km of Aussie World, Seven Peaks Farm Stay offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Beerwah. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. The farm stay also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We celebrated our anniversary at Seven Peaks and had an AMAZING time! Over the years we have booked many getaways via Airbnb, Booking.com and other websites and I can say that this one was my favourite! The location with view to the Glasshouse Mountains is breathtaking, the cabins are modern and wonderfully equipped (including Aircon) and the breakfast hamper we received made us feel even more welcomed. When it comes to the cabins, the attention to detail for the whole fit-out was outstanding. The kitchen really had everything we needed and we loved the coffee machine. The furniture is modern, the beds are comfy (though on the soft side), the squeaky clean shower had fantastic water pressure and the provided toiletries added to the luxurious overall experience. The spa bath adds a very nice touch, although they are not extremely comfortable but I shall remember to bring a bath cushion for our next visit as the wonderful view invites to longer soaks in the bath to fully switch-off while taking in the sounds of nature. We arrived mid-week and absolutely enjoyed the peace and quiet on the farm. The hosts Jenny and Graham were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them while feeding the farm animals in the afternoons. We even spotted some platypus in the dam on the property during our afternoon strolls. Thank you for being such great hosts, Jenny and Graham. We will definitely return in the future!

Fig Tree Farm B&B Highvale-Farmstay near Brisbane!

Highvale

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Fig Tree Farm B&B Highvale-Farmstay near Brisbane! is located in Highvale. 28 km from Suncorp Stadium and 28 km from Roma Street Parklands, the property features a garden and barbecue facilities. The farm stay also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We've stayed on a number of farms before, but this has to be about the best. Not only was the villa pristine, modern and kitted out with all the amenities you'd expect, but the kids absolutely loved being on a farm and being able to interact with the animals. Our eldest son has never asked to be woken up at 5am before, but he wanted to get up early to see the sunrise and go feed the chickens just as they came out of their coop. For the younger kids, there's also a mud kitchen for them to play at and heaps of toys and games for everyone to enjoy. If you didn't think to pack gumboots for the kids, there's a cupboard full with a multitude of sizes and colours to choose from. Being away from the city means its nice and quiet, and the perfect environment to relax. There's WiFi and Netflix available in the villa, but we didn't use it much as there's so much to do in the area for the whole family. My only regret is that a 2 night stay over the weekend was just not long enough to fully enjoy everything and next time we'll book a week at least. There are shops only a few minutes away to pick up food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is either fresh farm eggs you collect yourself together with bread you bake yourself, or one of the cereals you can choose before arriving.

Thirlestane Farm Cottage & Barn

Cooroy

The farm stay consists of 4 separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 living rooms. The accommodation is non-smoking.

For guests with children, the farm stay features indoor and outdoor play areas. There is a garden with a barbecue at this property and guests can go cycling nearby. This property is absolutely amazing and the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay one you won’t forget. With the two detached self contained accommodation types being an old renovated cottage and a modern style barn there was ample space to enjoy with family and friends. The outdoor cinema area is an absolute must while staying here and also experienced an outdoor bath for the first time. The hosts are dedicated to making sure your stay is very special and will go over and above to make this happen - thank you so much to hosts Tee & Stephen for making my 60th so special and will definitely be back.

CedarBrae Country Stay

Gympie

CedarBrae Country Stay is a self-contained, bed and breakfast farm-stay cottage, surrounded by water.

Guests staying at CedarBrae Country Stay can go canoeing on the dam and take the fishing rod. Golfing tee available to practice your swing, feed the farm animals or walk along the sculpture trail. The opportunity to help feed the alpaca was wonderful, the friendliness of not only our hosts, but also the animals! Pam said she wanted a place where all the animals got along and that’s exactly what you find. The breakfast “supplies “ are plentiful and delicious, home made jams, and yogurt, fresh eggs and bread daily, wish we were still there. We loved everything about Cedar Brae and would return in a heartbeat.

The cottage has a flat screen TV with free to air channels. It has a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Just a lovely beautiful 2-bed cottage, with spectacular views all around. Clean, roomy, slept well, woke up to bird calls!! Some lovely horses to say hello to on the property!! Visited some of the many local wee townships around. Swim at the Dam, short hike in the Amamoor Forest. Rode the Old Rattler from Gympie. Wonderful day!! Amamoor General Store a classic, with all necessary needs, some old goodies & hot food - need more souvenirs, though. Just really enjoyed the serenity, the wildlife & the locals. Liz & Iain were very accommodating & helpful.
