We loved the very comfortable and homey accommodation, as well as their thoughtful selection of teas and snacks available all day. Speaking of delectables, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrasse where we had breakfast every morning. On offer was a great selection of pastries from a local bakery, the option to have eggs and bacon, a selection of cold cuts (as well as fruit salad, cereals and yoghurts for the more healthy food inclined) and a savoury offering that changed every day, as did Stefania's cakes - her biscotti justified the trip alone! We regret not having allowed some the time to attend a proper wine tasting session, but the wines we sampled from their own vineyards were delightful, especially the Chianti riserva. We had the good fortune of test driving their newly acquired ebikes, which enabled us to take in the gorgeous surroundings at a more leisurely pace. We particularly appreciated the very personal service from Fausto, as well as the handy map and restaurant recommendations from Claudia. The tenuta is fantasticly located: we walked to SG every evening for dinner, about 15 mins via a quiet and scenic back road, which meant we were both able to enjoy the fantastic local wines! In short: we can't recommend this place enough!

We had the most spectacular time at this beautiful property. Giorgio and Monica were amazing host, they were kind and accommodating. I loved all the attention to detail. The rooms were perfect, very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was just WOW! I would also recommend booking a wine tasting with Giorgio, it was a wonderful experience and the wine is fantastic!

The wine tour and tasting with Lenora was extra special. And the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We stayed 3 nights at Capanna 1826 and we wish we had stayed longer!

We loved the breakfast! Every morning she was so nice and asked us what we wanted to eat. She also helped us when we had questions and was really sweet and caring! It was an amazing home in the middle of the fields with a great pool and very clean! It was beautiful and we didn’t want to leave. By car it was about 7 min to the town.
