I loved the charm of the rooms, quality and cleanliness of the bathrooms. I also appreciated the staff at the Boutique Sint Jacob. We opted not to have our rooms cleaned as we only stayed for a night and the following day/night, so the staff we met was in the kitchen. We didn't choose the breakfast option, but we did meet them when making inquiries. The two individuals we met, were very welcoming, and helpful.

LOCATION!!!! Right on the town square. Although the room was relatively small it was very well-designed and laid out. Comfortable bed, good lighting and. storage. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a nice balcony, but I was concerned about street noise. No problem. Insulated glass.
Good typical breakfast. Helpful luggage storage. 15to 20 minute walk from train station or take a local bus. Good free walking tour starting not far away.

Amazing hotel! The location is just perfect - like 2 mins walking from main r/w train station. Self check-in and check-out processes were extremely easy and fast! And there is somebody from the stuff to help you with your needs. The stuff is helpful, polite and extra friendly. Room is big, clean, renovated. in 10 mins walking crossing the bridge you come into the old city center where you can find anything you like: all kinds of food, shopping malls, old city walls etc. Overall, the hotel looks super cool and the rest area with free tea, coffee and snacks is so sweet. Next time will definitely stay here again!

One of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, picturesque Maastricht has an international feel. Not only can you walk to Belgium and bike to Germany, this town also gave birth to the European Union and euro currency following the 1992 Maastricht Treaty.
Its largest square – Vrijthof – houses the twin churches of St. Jan and St. Servaas, a theater and several sidewalk cafes. Various festivals and the Magic Maastricht Christmas markets are also held here. Markt square is home to the Flemish-style town hall, a twice-weekly market and even more restaurants and bars offering great nightlife.
The excellent shopping options in Maastricht include unique shops on the cobbled Old Town streets, exclusive boutiques on Stokstraat, and the Entre Deux and Mosae Forum shopping centers. Dotted among these is Booking.com’s wide range of Maastricht accommodations.
Well-preserved city walls surround the Old Town and run close to the Maas River where boat trips are available. Underground are the Casemates, a visitable maze of defensive tunnels used in times of siege, while on the city’s outskirts are the St. Pietersberg Caves, former World War II shelters with intriguing wall art.
Before flying out of Maastricht Aachen Airport, don’t miss the fine art by Rubens and Van Dyck in the Bonnefanten Museum, a modern building reflecting the area’s pottery heritage.

A beautiful, clean, safe-feeling city with a truly international feel. A huge range of shops, bars and restaurants. A river running through it. An extremely walkable and, unsurprisingly for the Netherlands, cycle-friendly city. We ventured through the city square area to a lower key area on the edge of the centre, that seemed to have fewer tourists and more students, and ate at a good Korean fusion restaurant. We enjoyed some Maastricht-made beer.

What a pretty city in the eastern region of The Netherlands!
What a pretty city in the eastern region of The Netherlands! My husband and I explored the city on foot for three days and discovered lovely shops, wonderful coffeeshops (check out Fixed Gear if you are a cyclist), and interesting restaurants. Every meal we had in the town was delicious, and the locals were unfailingly accommodating.

It has a very bright and cozy Christmas atmosphere.
It has a very bright and cozy Christmas atmosphere. Beautiful historical areas. There are many parks and green areas to walk through. A lot of hidden gems on the outskirts of the city - definitely worth hopping on the bus from one end to the other and discovering what lies outside of the city center. Must try the breakfast menu from Coffeelovers Plein 1992.

A grand historic location not overrun by tourists.
A grand historic location not overrun by tourists. Loved not having seen huge tour busses and gobs of people following your standardised tour guidess. One doesn't have to walk far to 'get lost' in quite narrow allayes without any tourists. I was actually surprised how peaceful the town was and we did visit it on a weekend. Hance the lack of tourists, maybe that is why it was so clean? The city also offers a pleasant shopping experience. The stores are nicely spread out in numerous streets, so that you can combine a historic tour with the occasional peek in a strore. Loved the city and would gladly return.
The location is brilliant- a short walk from the railway station and a short walk to the old city centre - located in a very nice neighbourhood. The hotel was clean and comfortable with good facilities. The room (a superior room) was very spacious but the layout with the open bathroom between the sleeping area and the sitting area is very odd. The room doesn't function nearly as well as it could. We knew about the open bathroom which did not bother us but were surprised at how much it adversely affected functionality.
The hotel is in a great location - tucked away down a quiet side street but easy walking distance from the station and to the city centre. It is modern, clean and the staff were all lovely and very helpful. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Being typical Brits, we prefer a cup of tea in the morning rather than a coffee from the coffee machine in the room but the reception staff were happy to supply a kettle and mugs from the breakfast bar to accommodate us 😄.
This was the second time we stayed in this hotel. This time it was for my Birthday and we stayed with 2 couples. Again they didn't disappoint, this place is amazing! The hotel rooms are great, the main building amazing, nicely decorated and a good vibe, the gardens around the building invite you to walk around and enjoy the nature.
Close to Maastricht as well, we took a taxi to out for some drinks in the evening, and it was only a 5 minute ride.
I will be back again :)
We had a hotel apartment, which was really spacious and comfortable. Beds are comfy. The Spa in the resort is really great. Parking is readily available and the resort is just on the outskirts of Maastricht, but by car you are within 5-7 minutes in the city centre. We could not get a reservation during our stay at the Michelin star restaurant, but the on site restaurant is very pleasant and convenient.
Was the first time I came to Maastricht and was unsure about where to stay, Hotel Monastère was a good choice, the room is clean, the utilities of the room were very nice, and the staff was also fine. The hotel is very close to the centrum, monumental places and shops which makes the walk easier and the stay better.
The room was spacious and clean, with a decent bathroom. The staff were albeit not in evidence. We rang the room phone because we forgot our conversion plug a staff member was with us quickly with a plug in hand. It is a functional hotel near the city centre but has very limited facilities
Very clean and spacious hotel. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Very good location for a short walk into the centre of Maastricht. Bedrooms airy and spacious. Restaurant food was excellent. Wide choice of food for breakfast. Large secure car park.
The hotel has an excellent location, in the very city centre, surrounded by nice bars and restaurants. The hotels own restaurant is also very nice and cosy and serves excellent food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the rooms are clean, with comfortable beds.
We stay in Maastricht quite often. Finally found a decent alternative to the hotel where we used to stay often before. Beautiful view of the lake with ducks from the room, quite acceptable breakfasts. Parking is included in the price, which is a rarity for Maastricht.
The hotel was very well located in the centre of Maastricht. The room was clean, the shower was good and beds comfortable. We visited Maastricht for the weekend and the hotel and room were excellent for this length of stay.
Breakfast was excellent, service when arriving at the hotel was exceptional. Rooms were very charming and the original building is still mostly intact. Would highly recommend it to friends and family.
