Warm welcome. Modern design. Sea view. Away from the hustle and bustle of Rome but within easy reach on the train.
I stayed here 11 years ago and have been meaning to come back since then! Nino and Angela not only remembered me but were so accommodating and warm in welcoming me back. It’s a perfect spot if you want to combine sun and sand with a city break. It’s just an hour into Rome and only €3.60 on the train. Thanks to both of you.

My fault - should have investigated the location better. Too remote - nothing around it.

Beautiful Seaside town, Extremeley friendly and helpful people. Even when language was a barrier they would find some one or we would use translate. Even bus drivers and train conductors were so helpful.

It´s a small town, within walking distance, and everything you need is around the corner.
We found the best hotel and also a bar/restaurant where we had drinks and dinner down on the beach directly on the sand.

Anzio is a quiet beach place with nice restaurants, a port , nice little shops and the historical ruins of Nero's palace at the sea. 50km from Rome it is the right place to stay if you would like to combine Rime visits and in between some beach breaks.

Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid.
A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey.
There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines.
A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.

Pleasant surprise!
Pleasant surprise! We learnt that the beaches around Anzio are popular among people from the Rome region, so there are mostly local people. Long, very nice beach with clean water, shallow sea and fine sand.

if you want to stay near Rome and have the benefit of a cooler summer atmosphere and a beach holiday this it , far better than staying Ostia or Fiumicino. frequent trains air conditioned and an hours journey rome for targeted visiting.
I’ve vacationed in Italy many times and this hotel is definitely going to be at the top of my list as one of my best stays. The room was spotless the bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning was very quiet and you could easily control the room temperature. Serpa hotel is located across the beach and on a busy street along the coast but inside the room I could not hear any noise from the passing cars which for Italy is a definite plus. I will definitely be back. I loved staying here. The staff is super nice too.
The apartment was clean, good size and within a good price range comparing to other stays in the same area. Close to the train station and close to the beach, 5 minutes walking distance from each.
It is perfect for families with kids, having a room with bunk beds.
We loved also the big terrace with barbeque area.
The staff also amazing and helpful to every question we had.
Next time we will be in Anzio, it will definitely be one of our choices.
- Francesca and everyone else on the staff were mega friendly despite the language barriers.
- Breakfast with a view (including yoghurt, juice, coffee, cereal, pastries and toasts)
- Access to the beach, and what an amazing beach! Watching the sunsets there made us fall in love w/ the place.
- Seems far away from Anzio's city center, but you can easily get to Anzio's port and Grotte di Nerone just walking.
So many small little details make it very special and welcoming. Terrace provides a look out to the sea in the distance. Enjoyed sitting outside watching the sun set.
5 min walk to a staircase that takes you down to the beach.
Host was quick to respond and answer any questions.
Comfortable bed with extra pillows!
Working air conditioners
Very good location convenient with car, free parking area, very hard to find in Anzio, few minutes walking to the centre and to the beach. Very quiet position. Very good breakfast with lot of choices. Very welcoming host, he gaves us advices for the beach, told us we could leave the luggages and use the toilet before to leave.
Great location, wonderful hostess, cleanliness and beauty. Delicious breakfasts. There are several restaurants nearby with different atmospheres, but all have great food. The beach service is being phased out, but you can still find umbrellas, sun loungers, and amazing panini and vino.
The house was exceptional. The views were outstanding and the location was ideal. Francesca was an amazing host who provided guidance on Anzio and dining experiences. The beach was a small walk away and amenities such as Pharmacy, grocery store and bakery are nearby.
Cornelia was the ultimate hostess! Her attention to detail was evident everywhere. From the Nautilus fossil adorning the garden wall to the sea urchin s&p shakers to the yoga in the morning! We would love to stay longer if we're ever lucky enough to be back in Anzio!
Well appointed apartment in a large building, central location, easy walk to the beach Room nice size with small balcony with limited view of sea. Staff met us quickly. City was not too crowded. Good restaurant around the corner. Breakfast include at nearby cafe.
A nice place to stay for two nights. Clean and comfortable. I love location. Close to the sea, just 15 min walking to the beach. And 5 min to get a train station. Very convenient. Grotte di Nerone beach has an umbrellas and a beach chairs for free.
Fantastic staff very helpful, beautiful pool and breakfast. Stayed here as visited warhead cemetery in Anzio and it was 10 minutes drive from our hotel. Hotel staff included taxi service to get us where we needed to go and picked us up again.
The equipment of the apartment is excellent, there is absolutely nothing missing. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Location close to the centre. There are grocery and fruit shops nearby. The beach is also nearby.
The location is quite nice and not far from the train station. The hotel itself is cozy and comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly. ANZIO town, where you can hangout, is about 25 or 30 minutes walking
a great stay! 7 minutes walk from Anzio train station
less then 20 minutes walk from the beach
a well equipped kitchen and clean rooms and bathrooms
defiantly worth it!
