Room was clean with a window which could be opened and the bed was comfortable. Could access to the room without needing to go through the pub. Outside area where we could eat of takeaway (if not raining). Access to the shared kitchen too. The experience is similar to staying at a friends house.

- They accepted our dog for an extra fee tonight.

- Good amount of space!

Staff at reception , Ruchitha plus F & B Staff, Laura were really helpful when I was really anxious about the food and water situation after 12 o’clock midnight, as I say food and water are a necessity not a luxury, small things that are easily rectified, Thank Adam M Hartfree, Director LTD Live the dream Ltd

The size of the rooms are too small.
The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Never again would I book Ibis as it does not suit for purposes and far beyond expectations.

Driving from Scotland to visit my sister in hospital so no other comments had a take-away from the Golden Siam restaurant very expensive and not true Thai cooking having lived in Thailand for 12 years I am more than qualified to judge. If we have to visit again I hope that it will not be at the hospital.

We were in Stevenage specifically to visit with our daughter, husband and new grand-daughter. We loved that we could easily get around town with Uber. There was a small market area within walking distance of where we stayed with a little pub for breakfast and a Tesco Express. I have been to Knebworth House which you really should not miss. It is a lovely, stately old historical home in the area and was very nice to visit particularly if you are a history buff.

I used to live in Stevenage.
There are many hotels to stay.
Knebworth house is nearby an interesting place to visit.
There is good bus service.
Many eating places.
From the great location only 10 minutes away from the stevenage train station to just a couple of steps across the road to all the shops you need and roughly a 13 minute walk to the cinema and or boiling ally. The cleanliness was brilliant, and the bedroom was homely and the staff, the staff were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile for their customers.
So far, it is the best hotel I have been in.
I would normally stay in hotels like Premier Inn, Holiday Inn etc but on this occasion they were fully booked and I saw Abbington. I read customer reviews about them and decided to try them, I was not disappointed. The building though old was well maintained, it was neat and tidy. I spent two nights and I'll surely use them again. Also to good to note that the owners, Frank and Sophia were friendly.
This place was a real find. Quirky, a far more interesting place to stay than a boring Travelodge or similar, and possibly the cleanest place I have ever stayed in! Good facilities in the room with an ensuite and a "Scandinavian Kitchen", and well positioned for Stevenage Old Town. Very efficient remote check-in - I didn't see any staff my whole time there, yet still friendly!
Me and my friends had a great stay in Stevenage! After a long day of wandering around, having a comfortable and resting sleep was exactly what we needed. The flat exceeded our expectations. Everything was very nice and clean. If we come back in the area the place will definitely be on our stay list. Highly recommended!
Everything was so good! This is the second time I'm staying at the hotel, and we had a fantastic experience. The staff are super friendly and helpful, they are so so ready to help us. The room was clean, the in-house restaurant is amazing (as it was last time to our great pleasure). Look forward to my next stay!
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The whole place was very clean and good availability of food. The shower was great a good size and easy to use. We brought our dog and there was plenty of area to take him for a walk in and around hotel. We had a lovely break will use hotel again.
We needed to have breakfast before 7.30 and asked if we could help ourselves to the buffet. They said no and we saw lots of people in the bar area doing the same. We were not allowed to sit at a table in the restaurant to eat our breakfast before 7.30. I found this very unhelpful.
Location was excellent. Walking distance to the shops in Stevenage Old Town. Secure parking, reasonably priced (£4 per day). Spotlessly clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Good wifi. Even had Netflix :-)
It's my go to hotel accommodation every time I visit Stevenage. Location is in the old town where all the restaurants and bars are after a long day at work. All within walking distance. Hotel is clean, comfortable and in the best location.
Excellent stay as always. Norma is a very accomodating host and her place is the best place to stay in Stevenage by a country mile. Great self contained sink, fridge, microwave and kettle to ensure you don't spend money eating out.
Our room was above the entrance, at about 11pm noise from cars, bikes and people leaving the hotel from a function was very loud and kept us awake until about 3am. The breakfast was not as it was last year - very disappointing
It was a very nice place in a quite good location. Me and my friends enjoyed our stay there. Everything was quite close by. If i ever came back to stevenage, I would definitely try to stay there again.
Hotel staff were brilliant and were on hand should you need any help, the hotel is in a good location being town centre based so close to the train station and all the shops.
The staff were friendly and the location is perfect. The price is also very attractive especially considering the location of the hotel. The room was adequate as well.
