I visited with my daughters aged 5 and 9 in November. Despite being winter the stay was comfortable as we brought sleeping bags in addition to the provided bedding. The wood burner in the tent also took the edge off. The camp area is great with multiple fires and places to sit. It really feels magical and my girls loved it. The woods are lovely to walk round - we went spotting different types of mushrooms! If you are prepared for a bit of “back to nature” you will have a great time!

The location is fantastic, with plenty of parking out back, it's only a 10 minute drive to Canterbury city centre, or 15 from the Wildlife animal park. The attached restaurant has a fantastic selection of meals and deserts. The breakfast selection was better than any other hotel I've been to.

All the property staff that I came into contact with were always pleasant and helpful. The property and grounds are well kept and clean The position the property sits on hill above the old town, is within its a very peaceful and pleasant nature conscious site with wildlife, such has small wild rabbits etc, happily grazing. grazing naturally. It is also well located for the local bus into town and also to other many surrounding places of interest, like, Whitstable, Folkestone, Hythe, Dymchurch and Rye in Sussex.

The host was very helpful before arriving and check-in/check-out was simple and easy. The annexe was a lovely place to stay for a night but easily could have stayed for a couple more. It was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable with a comfy bed. Only 20 mins drive from Canterbury and 20 mins from Howlett's Wildlife Sanctuary.
