Central location in Urca (we used Uber and 99 to get around to other places), near the Sugarloaf hill and Praia Vermelha (nice for a nightly swim). The neighbourhood is quite ok; we walked around after sunset without issues. Very pleasant and helpful staff (checked up with before arrival, allowed us to shower after our return from the beach on our last day). Comfy bed, hot shower, extensive breakfast, big room (with terrace), small swimming pool. Cool spot to discover Rio.

The location of the terrace allows for great sunset views and the proximity to the beach is unique as there is not even a road seperation. Staff was incredible, super helpful and friendly and gave us lots of recommendations to optimize our visits and stay in Rio. The couple room was super nice with its hammock on the terrace. We really enjoyed the community there and the different equipments (sport area, rooftop, laundry…). We would 100% recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a stay in Rio.
