Great location, good breakfast and the bed room had a hammock. The owner was a nice guy, and I got the impression he was more of a local guy running a business as opposed to the other Pousadas around there. The for me, was a good thing.

The shared spaces were just beautiful and calm. Loved the yellow. Loved the hammocks. Loved the monkeys in the trees and the cat. The staff were lovely, Tai especially. I liked that it was just women. Good aircon in the room and loved that there was no time limit to it. Great location. Good to have extra bathrooms aside from the shared room ensuite. Having had top bunks for ages it was nice that they weren't so tall and felt sturdy.

After six months traveling we never encountered a place like this. Hidden in nature, this old colonial building is magnificent. The rooms and bathrooms are big, the shared kitchen has an access to the garden and you can lie down in hammocks with a view on the grounds and the forest. Margareth is also extremely nice and helpful, and it was lovely to share the space with her and her family.

I have stayed here about 7 times across 15 years. I really cannot imagine coming to Paraty and staying anywhere else. The views from the rooms, the balconies and the hammocks… the small but lovely pool… the neat garden… the varied breakfasts, the location (just very slightly out of town, but very close) all make this the perfect place for me. Although there was not always an English speaker easily to hand there was always kind cheerfulness and willingness to help with anything. Thank you!

Great place, such a vibe. The rooms are really nice, comfortable, clean, with aircon, terrace with hammock, tv with netflix, good wifi, hot shower and nice design. Staff is really friendly and they do speak english at the reception. Location is perfect, just a 3min walk to Praia do Pontal or 10min to the city center.
