Very hospitable owner and good houseboat with a great view. The owner Mohd Goona ji also helped in negotiating a good rate for our shikara ride. The home cooked food, though bit expensive, was amongst the best we had in our stay if 9 days in Kashmir. The location is wonderful, being open to the lake from the rooms windows, and not adjoining other houseboats. Ghat 12 itself is the one from which the Dal lake opens up wide. For the price this houseboat is good value for money. Don't miss to take a Shikara ride - ideally take it to Char Chinar garden round trip

Especially thankful to Waseem ,who provided the best hospitality experience .He has provided all the local details about Kashmir. I will definitely visit this place again .We were a small group to stay at this Houseboat. We are staying a total of 04 days. The service was very good. It's very cold and this house boat doesn't have the essential Central heating facilities. They did provide a room heater but it's not enough. We were lucky that temperature was not extremely cold during our stay but still it was enough to shake things up! View from this house boat was not great. You can definitely get better deal at this price of 5k for one night. So choose other options.
