Great transportation system around Berlin, lots to see and do. We didn't stay long enough to visit all we wanted to see. We didn't realise that a lot of the restaurants only take cash but luckily were close to a cash machine the first time we were caught out. We also didn't realise that most of the shops are closed on a Sunday in Berlin - I think this is useful info to know.

Berlin has a lot for everyone. History and monuments, nightlife and restaurants, strolls and picnics - whichever mode of passing your time you prefer, they have it there. Getting about is a breeze using the city's maginificent public transport and you'll feel safe virtually wherever you go. The breakfast was good for what you pay for. Not as in a fancy hotel but there is bread, cereal, some fruit, yoghurt, different cheeses and meat, vegetables and cake.
