Staff is very cooperative, we reached hotel before checkin time still they gave us the room .Felt like living in some paris hotel. Breakfast was good with wide variety of options. Location is very good and 5 mins walk to Boulevard. 5-7 mins to Old Baku Gates so little inconvenient if you are booking local tours because they don’t give hotel pickup/drops even if it’s very late in night.

Baku, Azerbaijan, presents itself as an inviting destination...
Baku, Azerbaijan, presents itself as an inviting destination for a quick getaway, offering a delightful blend of culture, history, and modernity. While the city boasts an array of attractions and experiences, including its picturesque old town and stunning waterfront promenade, one aspect that could be further enhanced is its culinary scene, particularly in iconic spots like Nizami Street.
Baku's allure lies in its ability to cater to various interests, whether it's exploring historic landmarks like the Maiden Tower or indulging in retail therapy at the vibrant local markets. However, for many travelers, food plays a pivotal role in defining the essence of a destination. In this regard, Baku could elevate its appeal by incorporating more local cuisine options along the bustling Nizami Street.
While the street already offers an assortment of dining establishments, ranging from international chains to cafes and bistros, the addition of more authentic Azerbaijani eateries would undoubtedly enrich the gastronomic experience for visitors. Traditional dishes such as plov, kebabs, and dolma showcase the rich culinary heritage of Azerbaijan and would provide tourists with a deeper immersion into the local culture.
By promoting and showcasing its diverse culinary offerings, Baku has the opportunity to position itself as not only a visually captivating destination but also a culinary hotspot. The integration of more local food options, particularly in prominent areas like Nizami Street, would undoubtedly enhance the overall appeal of the city to travelers seeking an authentic and immersive experience.
In summary, Baku serves as a charming getaway with immense potential to further elevate its appeal, particularly in the realm of gastronomy. By expanding the presence of local cuisine options, the city can create a more enriching and memorable experience for visitors, solidifying its status as a must-visit destination in the region.

Although Baku has the potential to grow and be a nice...
Although Baku has the potential to grow and be a nice destination to visitors from abroad, a lot of Azerbaijanis are very desperate for cash. You could be surprised, but there are different menu options in almost all businesses. One is for locals and another for visitors. And this is not the issue really, rather this is how the system is separating locals from visitors. Discrimination is a respected value of the culture.
First and last time forever Baku.

Baku is a stunning destination, boasting incredible scenery...
Baku is a stunning destination, boasting incredible scenery just outside the city limits. We traveled at an ideal time with perfect weather, which made our explorations of the scenic landscapes, cultural landmarks, and historical sites even more enjoyable. The city offers an array of shopping opportunities, diverse culinary options, and plenty of activities to engage with.
However, interacting with the locals presented some challenges, as many were not particularly welcoming to tourists and few spoke English. For getting around, Bolt provided exceptionally cheap taxi fares, and for those preferring to drive, Karavan rentals are highly recommended—just be prepared for a driving experience that can be trying, despite the excellent roads; local drivers often don’t adhere to traffic rules.
While Shah Plov, considered the national dish, didn’t meet our expectations, the kebabs, grills, and breads were delightfully delicious and shouldn't be missed.
For unique experiences, the Alpaca farm in Shamakhy offered a charming escape, and the visually striking Candy Cane Mountains were a highlight of our trip. Adventure seekers should definitely include a visit to Shahdag for its thrilling outdoor activities.
When shopping for souvenirs and sweets, you'll find that prices are significantly cheaper outside the city, offering great bargains alongside a more authentic selection. Remember, when shopping, bargaining is key to securing the best deals. Despite some hitches, Baku’s mix of modern amenities and rich historical tapestry provided a memorable getaway.

Equal 7*. come down from the hotel and you are on Nizami Street. i recommended to all. you will see by your eyes when visit to nizami st. you will believe on my every words.
Nice and helpful staff. Clean bed. The hotel was quiet. There were no bugs or spiders. The carpets are not dirty, but old, there are stains. The hotel is not 4 stars, it is more of a boutique hotel, no stars. For breakfast there were sausages, cheese, eggs, yogurt, tea. The hotel is worth its price. Some expect 5 star quality for the price of a 1 star hotel. For the price, I would love to stay at this hotel. Location right in the heart of the city.
IDuring my stay at the Modern Hotel in Baku, I struggled to find any aspects of the experience that met or exceeded my expectations. From the cleanliness and comfort to the amenities and overall atmosphere, every element fell short of what one would anticipate from a hotel claiming to be among the best. Unfortunately, there was not a single facet of my stay that I could positively highlight, leading to a deeply unsatisfactory experience overall.
The location is perfect for enjoying the city. The suite room is the best one in the Hotel and the staff is superb especially Farid who helped us with airport transfers and Shahdag transfers. The balcony is perfect to sit out and have a cup of coffee. There are stairs to reach the hotel so it's a good idea to remember that, the staff help you with the luggage on stairs and have a lift for the luggage too. A great place to enjoy our stay in Baku.
It's an incredible place to stay, As a solo traveller i definitely recommend this place. Especially staff are really helpful in all ways. The main benefit of this property is it's located in city centre where you can cover Nizami street, Old Baku, Highland park, Bolvard park. It's completely travel sustainable,💞✌️
Lastly a heartful thanks for Manager MR. Fuad for giving tips to travel (according to my budget ✌️)
Hotel situated in city centre Nizami street.
Very nice hotel with pretty personal. If you are first time in Baku you just approach hotel personal they can help you everything. Rooms are large, clean and lightly. Near by the hotel boulevard sea, old city, maidan tower, restaurants, museums, little Venice, parks you just need walking that's all.
Thanks for everyone to hotel personal hope we meet again my dears.
Everything in this hotel is incredible. Location, value for money and people who are working in this hotel .. etc. I would like to thank the reception girls in this hotel (they let us feel like one of their family and they were very supportive and trying to do their best to meet our requires) .. just keep it up and sure we are going to reserve this hotel again whenever we are coming back in the Old City.
Everything was exceptional, I would like to appreciate Ms Zahra & Mr Sheheryaar for their kindness & support in all the matters related to check in. The staff was very helpful. Our sea view Room was clean & spacious. No hotel in Baku can give you such marvelous view of boulevard Sea. All the services were 5 star. Fairmont would be my only option whenever I come back to Baku. Thank You.
Lovely small hotel, closely located to an old city, breakfast like at home, served just for you - eggs with fresh vegetables. It’s street can be noisy at night, which is another side of being in the city centre, the rooms are not big, but ceiling is high, no lift (so not easy if you have suitcases), but staff is very helpful and friendly. All in all had a pleasant stay.
Hospitality perfect service perfect breakfast perfect and also location close to everything for family or alone or with partner is good this was perfect enough
this hotel must to be 5 star hotel not 4
One of my best hotels experiences that i tried
all workers are perfect and there hospitality is make you feel welcomed in there city ..
I visit Baku several times a year. GM city is on of the hotels whit the best quality/price combination. Even thats the location is not in the center but it takes only 5-10 minutes to go to the center. Other things are perfect. For me cleanliness of the room is the most important factor and in this sphere everything was totally cool.
its very rare that u stay in a hotel, and u have not even a tiny bad experience, our stay in intercontinental baku was amazing, we really felt at home and we were so sad to leave the friendly staff and the beautiful city. when we come to baku next, we are certainly staying here again, wish them best of luck.
The Hotel is located in one of the best area of Baku and it is closed to the shopping centers as well as public transportation stops. The staff were so kind and the room was clean and comfortable. highly recommended personally and I would like to stay again at Center City for the next trip to Baku.
The best thing is the location of the appartment, in the center of the old city of baku , near to juma mosque and its totally walking distance from the iconic Maiden tower
Also, the owner is such a good person, very cooperative in case of any neeed
I recommend it
The location is perfect of this hotel. Old city views and walkable area all around with access to city centre just a few steps away. The place has that old and historic feel which is good. Amenities were good and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was amazing.
In the heart of the old city, beautiful room with hardwood floors, great marbled bathroom, full breakfast with eggs, rooftop with 360 degree views of the city. Incredibly good value for the price in comparison with other hotels in Baku.
Royal Palace Hotel Baku has friendly and helpful staff, comfortable furnishings, and a great location close to both the City Centre and the Old City. The rooms came with a small fridge, a kettle, and a safe.
staff is nice people restaurant is close e earlier or maybe what to do like to eat that's not available...
if your looking cheap hotel in baku. happy inn/ rose crown is Best place.
