Sara on reception made our stay absolutely perfect, she listened to what our needs were and made sure they were met, what was potentially a difficult time became a happy, contented and successful one.
The environment was comfortable, attractive and happy while at the same time we had the quiet and space that we needed

My daughter and I enjoyed the swimming pool - especially the slide and wave machine.

Check-in was nice & friendly - I did query the room price, but on checking I had incorrectly remembered the original booking price was less. This was all handled in a friendly & professional manner.
We had in fact, been upgraded to a slightly bigger double room.
Built in the 1700s, the Rowan Tree Country Hotel now offers elegant rooms, many with views of the mountains, Cairngorm National Park or Loch Alvie. Traditional Scottish breakfasts are available.

The hotel is a old 'modernised' Inn in the Victorian times and that twee charm has been retained. The room although a single had everything in it that I needed. Lovely ensuite bathroom looks very new. The breakfast was really good, quality ingredients cooked very well (steady on, on the bacon though :)) It's a lovely, quiet setting overlooking the loch Albie? Very friendly, attentive staff. The owner was very accommodating very late booking/check in so I was grateful for that. I hope to return on my visits to Aviemore!

The hosts seem to have thought of everything.

Amazing place in summer.
Amazing place in summer. Clouds, mountain, green surroundings and local restaurants, everything is exceptional. Small city so a short 1-2 days stay is sufficient. Tesco and Aldi are nearby railway station. Easy train access from Galsgow.

Really tidy and comfortable beds.
Really tidy and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, walking distance from the centre and the walking and cycling pathway.
The only bad thing was the water was warm for only a few minutes causing the rest of the family to wait for the boiler to reheat but it was still cold even after that

It was far bigger than I was expecting. Very well serviced by local buses to surrounding towns and villages. We travelled everywhere by bus. Lots of places to eat in the evening. Local people always ready and willing to help with travel advice.

I liked the central location of the Highland hotel and the activities for the children. The Winking Owl Aviemore is by far the best place to eat. It has such a huge choice of dishes at reasonable prices and great choices for celiacs and vegans. The staff at the Winking owl are lovely and there is a great atmosphere.

The town situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. There are beautiful views of all the mountains, forests and lakes. Not far from the legendary Loch Ness, it's hard to spot a monster. Amazing fogs.

Great location and large family rooms. Breakfast was good. The main issue was that the pool and leisure facilities were unavailable due to technical issues . No one updated us before we left Glasgow to attend hotel. Manager advised that they were considering a discount but as yet nothing has been offered. We had grandson and picked this hotel specifically as it had good swimming pool so was very disappointed that it wasn't open. we had to drive to another hotel a distance away for a swim.
This was a good place to explore the nearby area, which was what we wanted. Even though the bathrooms or one bedroom are on the smaller side, they were perfectly functional and we enjoyed our stay there. It was pleasant to sit in the living room in the evening or on the little terrace after lunch when the sun finally came out. I cooked our meals and the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed. It was a great place for the three nights we had in Aviemore.
On our arrival we received a warm welcome. Our bedroom was very nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The en suite bathroom and bedroom were exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotl. Breakfast the following morning was freshly prepared , well presented and very tasty. Throughout our visit all staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is easy to find on the main road and is only a few minutes walk to Aviemore centre.
We booked this hotel at the last minute and we were absolutely delighted. Atmosphere, entertainment was top notch!
Celidh was brilliant crack!
We were not disappointed - from food, entertainment, facilities, and the clean room.
Activities to do as well, especially on New Year's Day as well, never a dull moment.
We will definately be back again.
Staff were so helpful and friendly too!!
+Great, spacious room in high standard with comfortable bed.
+Supportive and helpful staff.
+The view wasn't the greatest, as the hotel on the other side was covering some part of lovely Cairngorms landscape, but overall, the location, the quality of the room was exceeding expectations.
If I'll reach Aviemore once again, I will definitely book the place once again!
Location is really good and walk to hotel is fascinating. Also, railway station and m&s kiosk which is 24x7 open makes location perfect for stay in woods.
I will give thumbs up for very friendly staff who goes over and beyond expectations to make your stay perfect.
Another point to be noted is few restaurants are available nearby that help you to save some time.
The hotel was spotless and the bed/ pillows were so comfortable. The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of Aviemore close to a variety of activities. The food is amazing as was the breakfast and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning
Excellent location & facilities for kids especially the pool, opened from 8am/8pm as school holidays , fantastic soft play & playroom with arts crafts , toys etc !! Staff friendly & we stayed in the avimore hotel which was a clean comfortable family room for 5 !!
What a place! Really fab hotel - atmospheric and memorable, with super comfy rooms and lovely staff. Aviemore is such a fun little town and The Cairngorm Hotel is in a perfect location, we’ll definitely stay here again if we return! Thanks for having us
We stayed at the Cairngorm hotel the night before and the night of our elopement. The staff were so accommodating and friendly the entire stay. The restaurant delivers good food and the pub delivers a great pint and friendly locals. Highly recommend
First time at High Range. Great location for Aviemore. Had everything we required especially dog walks nearby. Accommodation warm on arrival. And extremely comfortable. Well maintained grounds and surroundings. Would return for more visits.
Great location for outdoor recreation. We hiked to Ben Macnui and Loch Avon one day. Hotel was just up road from restaurants and other retail. Very friendly staff and flexible with our requests, even as they were fully booked.
Onsite activities great for kids, nice location, Aviemore offers all the services for a short break.
If you decide to dine out with hotel, best to pre book as restaurants fill up fast.
Everything amazing, every time when I go to Aviemore I stay in this hotel , especially swimming pool amazing , highly recommended, the best hotel, food amazing as well
I was many, many times in Aviemore and always stay in hotels, and that was a mistake! Perfect place for holiday ! You can find even board games and lego for kids 😉
The suite we had was great for three. The bathrooms had high quality fittings. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the town. We really enjoyed our stay.
